Did You Know...
High blood pressure affects over 16 million people in the UK.
The higher your blood pressure, the greater your risk of stroke, heart attack and heart failure.
High Blood Pressure rarely has any symptoms. The only way to know if you have high blood pressure is to have it measured. It can be treated and sometimes prevented and there are many things that you can do to help lower it. These include:
- stopping smoking,
- losing weight,
- increasing exercise
- reduce salt intake.
Our goal is to help you to take control of your high blood pressure.
Blood Pressure monitoring machines are available to buy in many local shops. Prices now start from as little as £15.00. Many of our patients have purchased their own machines and then provide us with their blood pressure measurements. Should you need to borrow one from the surgery you will need to contact reception and fill in a form with a deposit of £10. This will be reimbursed once the blood pressure machine has been returned.
You can download a BP Monitoring form using the link below. This can be completed and returned to the surgery.
Alternatively you could copy the results from your form and submit them via this link Submit online form
